Currently Design Specialist at Apple
I lead UX/UI design across customer-facing portals, executive communications, and internal tooling for one of Apple’s largest internal security organizations, spanning product strategy, design systems, and AI-augmented design workflows. Much of this work is confidential and can’t be shown here, but the case studies below reflect the same design thinking, methodology, and technical depth I bring to it.
Multidisciplinary designer with engineering experience
My primary role is user-centered design. I research, analyse, conceptualise, ideate, sketch, wireframe, prototype, test, and finesse hi-fidelity production artwork, but I’ve also been coding since learning BASIC on a Commodore 64, written interactive games using Lingo and ActionScript, managed LAMP stack web servers, built a SaaS DAM system in MEAN, and created web apps with Angular and React. More recently, I’ve turned that same engineering instinct toward AI, building AI-augmented design processes and workflows that help teams prototype and ship faster without losing rigor or craft.
Recent work in DefenseTech & AI/ML
Rebellion Defense is a startup providing SaaS AI/ML DefenceTech to the US, UK and Allied Forces. Collaborating closely with intelligence analysts & ML engineers, we deployed the company's first operational product, supporting intelligence at the edge of operations.
Optimizing user journeys and driving conversions for a leading travel platform through data-driven design and cross-team collaboration.
As a lead product designer, I specialize in translating complex ideas into intuitive, user-centric experiences. My recent work at Tunic Pay is helping revolutionize real-time payment security through thoughtful UX design; and at Advai, shaping the future of AI assurance with a platform for stress testing and enhancing AI models.

“Paul has a unique blend of technical, creative and interpersonal skills. He thrived on complex interaction design challenges and was a self-starter when taking a passion project to redesign a bid management system from concept to implementation using ML and elastic search. He clearly has a growth mindset and demonstrated being supportive of others, e.g. mentoring and supporting tech forums. You want to work with him because whatever your role, together you are going to create a better solution.”
